Chignik Lake death is under investigationPublished on March 10th, 2010 By ALASKA NEWSPAPER STAFF Dillingham Alaska State Troopers received a report of a death in the village of Chignik Lake about 7:27 p.m. on Monday, March 8. Troopers responded to Chignik Lake. The victim is identified as Candice Berner, 32, of Perryville. Her next of kin has been notified. The circumstances surrounding her death are under investigation. According the Megan Peters, an Alaska State Troopers spokesperson, no further information will be released until an autopsy has been complete.
